Hipped ("we," "us," "our") provides a professional endorsement service that connects companies with hiring needs to qualified recruitment professionals and industry experts who can recommend suitable candidates ("endorsers"). Our platform facilitates high-quality endorsements, helping companies find exceptional talent through trusted professional networks.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your relationship with Hipped regarding your use of our platform and services (collectively, the "Services").

These Terms affect your legal rights and obligations. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.

Eligibility and Requirements

The Services are intended for legally registered business entities and individual employers who are at least 18 years old. Only legally competent natural persons acting on behalf of registered businesses or as individual employers may use the Services.

Our platform enables your company to:

  • Receive Quality Endorsements: Get introduced to pre-vetted candidates with detailed professional context and backing from trusted professionals
  • Streamlined Hiring Process: Manage endorsements and hiring through our platform while paying only for successful hires

How the Service Works

  1. Post Your Role: Create job postings with clear requirements and set the endorsement reward through our platform
  2. Endorsers Review: Qualified endorsers in our network review your roles and recommend suitable candidates from their professional networks
  3. Receive Endorsements: You receive endorsed candidates with detailed professional context and recommendations through the platform
  4. Make Your Decision: You evaluate candidates and make hiring decisions while we handle reward payments for successful placements

Your Commitments as a Company

Professional Standards

By using our Services, you commit to:

  1. Genuine Opportunities: Post only real job opportunities with accurate descriptions and requirements. Your postings must reflect actual hiring needs and include all relevant information potential candidates would need to assess their suitability.
  2. Fair Processing: Handle all endorsed candidates fairly and professionally, providing timely feedback and maintaining professional communication standards. You must respect candidate confidentiality and handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  3. Honor Commitments: Pay agreed rewards for successful hires. Once you've posted a role with an associated reward, you agree to pay this fee if you hire an endorsed candidate through our platform.

Communication Standards

You agree to:

  • Respond to endorsements within reasonable timeframes
  • Provide clear feedback on candidate suitability
  • Communicate any changes to job requirements promptly
  • Maintain professional standards in all communications

Rewards and Payment Terms

Reward Structure

Our platform operates on a success-based model:

  • You Set the Total Reward: When posting a role, you determine the total reward amount
  • Single Fee: This total reward includes both the endorser's payment and Hipped's platform fee
  • No Upfront Costs: You only pay when you successfully hire an endorsed candidate

All amounts are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added to invoices where applicable.

When Payment is Due

Payment is due when these conditions are met:

  1. The endorsed candidate accepts your employment offer
  2. The candidate signs an employment contract with your company

Upon contract signature:

  • We send you an invoice for the total reward amount (plus VAT)
  • Payment terms: Net 14 days

Reward Due for Later Hires

If you hire a candidate who was previously endorsed to you through our platform, the reward remains due even if you hire them through other means or at a later date. This applies for 12 months from the original endorsement date.

The reward is still owed to the original endorser, as they made the initial introduction. This ensures fair compensation for the professional who first brought the candidate to your attention and helps maintain trust in our platform.

Payment Processing

  • We handle all payment processing through our secure platform
  • All fees are processed in accordance with local tax regulations
  • Multiple payment methods are supported
  • Payment instructions are provided with each invoice

What You Can Expect

  • Professional handling of your job postings
  • Quality endorsements from verified professionals
  • Transparent communication throughout the process
  • Secure handling of your company information
  • Fair and timely processing of all endorsements

What We Don't Guarantee

While we strive to provide excellent service, we cannot guarantee:

  • Specific hiring outcomes or candidate availability
  • The number of endorsements you'll receive
  • Candidate qualifications or performance
  • Success of any particular endorsement

All hiring decisions are entirely your responsibility. We act solely as a platform connecting you with endorsers. You are responsible for evaluating candidates, verifying credentials, and making informed hiring decisions.

Data Protection and Privacy

We process your company data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.

When you receive endorsed candidates through our platform, you become a data controller for their personal information. You must:

  • Process candidate data lawfully and fairly
  • Use data only for legitimate hiring purposes
  • Maintain appropriate security measures
  • Comply with all applicable data protection laws
  • Respect candidate privacy rights

Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available."

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hipped has no liability for:

  • Hiring decisions or employment outcomes
  • Candidate performance, qualifications, or conduct
  • Quality or accuracy of endorsements
  • Employment disputes or legal issues
  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services

You agree to indemnify Hipped from any claims arising from:

  • Your hiring decisions
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the Services
  • Your violation of applicable laws
  • Employment disputes with candidates

Intellectual Property

Hipped owns all rights to the platform, including design, functionality, and proprietary content.

You retain ownership of content you submit (job postings, company information) but grant us a license to use this content to provide our Services.

Term and Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your use of the Services at any time by providing written notice to contact@hipped.io with at least thirty (30) days notice. You must honor all rewards for endorsements made prior to termination.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Fail to pay required fees
  • Provide false information
  • Misuse the platform

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • You must complete payment for any pending rewards
  • Your access to the platform will cease
  • Confidentiality obligations continue
  • Outstanding payment obligations remain enforceable

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms by posting updates on our platform. We will provide 30 days notice of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes shall be resolved in the District Court of Helsinki, Finland, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.

Before formal proceedings, we encourage contacting us to resolve disputes informally at contact@hipped.io.

How the Service Works

  1. Browse Opportunities: Review available roles with detailed requirements and reward amounts on the platform
  2. Identify Candidates: Identify suitable candidates from your professional network who match the requirements
  3. Submit Endorsements: Submit detailed endorsements with professional context through the platform
  4. Earn Rewards: Receive payment when your endorsed candidate is successfully hired

Your Commitments as an Endorser

Professional Standards

By using our Services, you commit to:

  1. Quality Endorsements: Only recommend candidates you know professionally or have properly vetted. You must have explicit consent from candidates before making any endorsements and ensure all provided information is accurate and current.
  2. Professional Integrity: Maintain high professional standards in your endorsements. Provide detailed, accurate context about the candidate's experience, skills, and suitability for the role, based on your professional knowledge or direct experience.
  3. Candidate Privacy: Respect candidate privacy and confidentiality. Handle all candidate information in compliance with applicable data protection laws and professional ethics.
  4. Honest Representation: Provide truthful and complete information about your relationship with the candidate and their professional background.

Endorsement Requirements

For each endorsement, you must:

  • Confirm you have the candidate's explicit consent
  • Provide accurate and current candidate information
  • Explain your professional relationship with the candidate
  • Detail why they're suitable for the specific role
  • Ensure all information is based on genuine professional knowledge

Platform Integrity

Hipped is committed to maintaining a trusted marketplace for companies and endorsers alike. We reserve the right to investigate endorsement quality and take appropriate action to protect platform integrity.

If an endorsement is determined to be fraudulent, misleading, or made without genuine professional basis, the endorser will not receive payment for that endorsement and may have their platform access permanently revoked. This includes cases where a hired candidate retracts acceptance or fails to commence employment due to circumstances the endorser knew or should have known.

If payment has already been processed before fraud is identified, Hipped reserves the right to recover the payment and may pursue appropriate legal remedies.

Endorsement Rights and Rewards

Your Endorsement Rights

When you submit a candidate endorsement:

  1. First Rights: The first endorser to submit a candidate for a specific role has priority rights for that candidate-role combination
  2. Ownership Period: Your rights to a candidate for a specific role remain valid for 6 months from the endorsement date
  3. Multiple Submissions: If multiple endorsers submit the same candidate, submission timestamp determines priority

How You Earn Rewards

  • Success-Based: You only earn when your endorsed candidate is successfully hired
  • Clear Earnings: The reward amount shown for each role is what you will receive
  • Transparent Process: All reward amounts are clearly displayed upfront on each role posting
  • No Hidden Deductions: The amount you see is the amount you earn

All amounts are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added to payments where applicable.

Payment Conditions

Rewards are paid when:

  1. Your endorsed candidate accepts the employment offer
  2. The candidate signs an employment contract with the company
  3. The company pays the total reward to Hipped

Payment is processed to you promptly after we receive payment from the company, typically through invoice-based processing.

Payment Processing

  • We handle all payment processing securely
  • You'll receive payment instructions when rewards become due
  • Multiple payment methods are supported
  • All payments comply with local tax regulations

  • Access to quality job opportunities with clear reward amounts
  • Fair and transparent endorsement processing
  • Timely feedback on endorsement status

  • Prompt payment of earned rewards

Your Responsibilities

  • Only endorse candidates with their explicit consent
  • Provide accurate and complete endorsement information
  • Maintain professional communication standards
  • Respond to requests for additional information promptly
  • Comply with applicable professional and data protection standards

What We Don't Guarantee

While we strive to provide excellent service, we cannot guarantee:

  • Availability of specific opportunities
  • Success of any particular endorsement
  • That companies will hire your endorsed candidates
  • Specific earning amounts or frequency
  • The number of roles available at any given time

All endorsements are recommendations only. Companies make their own independent hiring decisions. We act solely as a platform facilitating introductions between endorsers and companies.

Data Protection and Privacy

We process your professional data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.

When endorsing candidates, you act as a data controller for candidate information. You must:

  • Obtain proper consent from candidates
  • Process candidate data lawfully
  • Use data only for endorsement purposes
  • Maintain appropriate security
  • Comply with data protection laws

  • Payment delays due to company non-payment
  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services

You agree to indemnify Hipped from any claims arising from:

  • Your endorsements
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the Services
  • Your violation of applicable laws
  • Candidate disputes or claims
  • Unauthorized endorsements

  • Access to new opportunities ceases
  • Outstanding payment obligations remain enforceable
